Felipe Abreu

Felipe Villela Vahia de Abreu was born in 10/03/1992 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil... He played at Fluminense Football Club academy, one of the best in the country until he was 20 years old. Fluminense's academy is responsible for developing some of the currently most important Brazilian players like Marcelo (Real Madrid), Thiago Silva (PSG), and Fabinho (Liverpool).

After playing for some other smaller clubs in Brazil, Felipe got offered a scholarship to play college soccer in the US. During his 4 years at MidAmerica Nazarene University, Felipe has been to the National Championship all his four years, including one Runner-Up (2015). After a successful college career, Felipe played for Santa Fe Wanderers, a semi-professional soccer team based in Kansas City during its one season at the United Premier Soccer League.

He graduated in December 2017 with a Sports Management & Business Administration degree ... He was inducted to the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business and the National Society of Leadership and Success due to his high scholastic attainments and leadership value ... Felipe has also received the NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athlete award for his academic and athletic success three years in a row. Nowadays, Felipe is finishing his MBA in Finance at Avila University, where he is also the Assistant Coach of the Men's Soccer Team.

His coaching career started in 2015 with our Future Legends and 4v4 program. Felipe then started coaching in the Premier side in 2016 and he currently coaches in the Boys 2009, Boys 2008, Girls 2007 and Girls 2006 age groups.
