Andy was the founder of the Kansas City Legends Club and is currently the Director of Coaching for all the younger age teams, the Girls side of the club and the Academy training program. Andy was an ever present British Collegiate All Star Select First XI player during his college career and played semi-professionally for seven years in his native England. Andy has a UEFA 'B' Coaching License, Passed his USSF A license on July 1, 1989, USSF National "A" Coaching License, and NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. He has 32 years coaching experience, including 22 years in the United States. He was the Director of Coaching for the Kansas State Youth Soccer Association overseeing the Olympic Development Program and F, E & D level licensing clinics from 1986-1990. Andy worked with the U19 National program under Anson Dorrance and is a NSCAA clinician. He was the Director of Coaching for USYSA Midwest Region in 1989 and coached at Avila College (Kansas City) from 1993 to 1995. Andy is the founder of British (Challenger Sports) Soccer Camps, The National Indoor Soccer Championship, The SuperClubs National Championship and The SuperClubs National Team Program. Andy has a Physical Education degree from Cardiff University and lectured in Physical Education at the Cardiff Physical Education College prior to taking up permanent residency in the U.S. Andy is well known for his ability develop superior individual dribbling and finishing performance and for his capability to motivate players to transcend previous best performances. Andy has recently published his unique coaching book, "Training Soccer Legends".

Andrew is a former Legends player, teacher, high school coach and HappyFeet-Legends franchisee. Andrew played for Andy Barneys 83-84 boys team in Kansas City for thirteen years and knows the powerful results of having grown up in the Legends training system. Andrew spent his entire youth soccer career playing for Andy Barney and the Kansas City Legends. At age 17/18 Andrew received parent accolades for his coaching work in the KC Legends Academy training program. While playing and coaching for the Kansas City Legends, Mr. Clifton spent time learning and developing a fanatical passion for soccer played the "Legends" way. Andrew was a top midfielder for O'Hara and a standout for the KC Legends Soccer Club. Andrew helped his club team to five first or second place finishes at the state level and also helped the team win five National Indoor Championships between 1992-1999. Andrew played for the notoriously strong Missouri ODP team as a youth player. A gifted deceptive dribbler and goal scorer, he served as captain for the O'Hara High School soccer team and earned all-conference, All-Metro, all-district, all-region and all-state honors. An honor student, Andrew was student body president at O'Hara High School. He participated in the MLS KC Wizards Youth Training Program in 01-02.

From 2002 to 2006 Andrew attended Drury University in Springfield, Missouri on a soccer scholarship and majored in Secondary Education and History. Andrew played in the Professional Developmental League for the Kansas City Brass. Andrew graduated from Drury University where he was a scholarship standout and ever present player fro four years. Andrew played lead roles in several plays whole attending Drury University. After graduating from University, Andrew taught history at Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Missouri. While teaching history Andrew was also the Boys Head Coach and Girls Assistant Soccer Coach.

Andrew is now the Vice-President of HappyFeet-Legends International and brings boundless energy and knowledge to the playing field.

Chad Deshler

Chad began playing soccer at 3 years of age. He joined the Legends organization at age 10 and played with the club until his high school graduation date of 1998. As a member of the 79/80 Legends, Chad along with his teammates, won 2 indoor national championships and finished second in outdoor nationals. He was U12 MVP at the National Championship. Chad played high school soccer at Shawnee Mission South High School were he was a member in 1997 and 1998 of the All State, Metro and City teams. Chad also received the high school soccer All-American award in 1998.

In late 1998, he joined the Kansas City Brass in the Professional Developmental League (PDL) and in 1999 went to Brigham Young University and played four years of Collegiate Soccer in the Mountain West Conference. Chad was the leading scorer in the MWC his freshman year with 25 goals.

He served a two year mission for his church in Kingston, Jamaica. Upon returning from his mission, he finished his playing career at BYU. While living in Utah, he coached Timpanogos High Varsity Soccer Team and founded "Camp Elite" soccer camp, which trained over 700 kids in one summer.

Mike Dye

Originally from Florida, Mike Dye started his collegiate career as a goalkeeper at Johnson County Community College. After one year, Mike joined MidAmerica Nazarene University in their 2nd year of the program. During his sophomore year, he helped his team make it to the NCCAA National tournament where they finished 5th place. During his junior year at MNU, Mike helped his team to another winning season with a record of 17-5-3. In that season, MNU again made it to the NCCAA tournament, but this time they went undefeated and won the National Tournament. In his final season of play, Mike helped his team to win the HAAC Conference title and make it to the 2nd round of NAIA regional play, ending with a season team record of 13-3-3. Mike was a standout goalkeeper for the Pioneers during his 3 year career. He left MNU with numerous honors including: NAIA 3rd Team All-American, National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Honorable Mention (HM) All-American (2x), NAIA All-Region, Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Defensive and Overall MVP, 1st Team All-HAAC, NCCAA All-Region, and HM All-HAAC. Mike graduated from MNU having set numerous goalkeeping records including: In 3 seasons he posted 26 career shutouts, a 1.04 career Goals Against Average, and in the 2005 season he only had 15 goals scored on him.

Mike is an Assistant Coach, Head Goalkeeper Coach, for the MNU Pioneers. He works alongside Kevin Wardlaw helping run Attack the Skills Soccer Camps as a goalkeeper instructor during the summers. He has also worked with the Chicago Eagles in sports ministry working with both boys and girls in their development as Christian athletes. Mike earned his B.A. in Psychology from MNU and is currently working on his Master's Degree in Professional Counseling. He holds a NSCAA National Goalkeeper Diploma and will obtain his NSCAA National Diploma this summer.

Scott is the Director of Coaching for The North KC Legends Soccer Club. Scott has played professionally for; KC Comets 90-91, KC Attack 91-95, Monterrey La Ra Za 93, Portland Pride 94, Las Vegas Dust Devils 95, Mississippi Beach Kings 98. Scott has earned his USSF 'C' license, is a former member of Arizona Youth State Soccer Association ODP Coaching Staff under Alex Hernandez, was the Head Men's Soccer Coach at William Jewel College 89, was an Assistant Men's Head Coach Park University '98, and was the Head Girl's Soccer Coach for Columbia County High School between 2002-2004.

Kristin hails to Kansas City after growing up in St. Louis where she played for one of the top premier clubs, J. B. Marine from 1992-2001 under Mike Gauvain. With J.B. Marine, she won 9 state titles, 3 regional championships, and placed 2nd in Nationals in 1997. She was the team captain from 1994-2001.

While in at her high school, Nerinx Hall, Kristin started as a freshmen at sweeper and was the captain her senior year. She made all-conference all 4 years and was a member of the All-State Team her sophomore year.

After being recruited by places such as Creighton, Rutgers, and Santa Clara, Kristin went on to play at the University of Missouri under Bryan Blitz. There she gained her Broadcast Journalism Degree with a 3.5 GPA.

Kristin is now the District Manager of Happy Feet and also one of the daily coaches. She has worked with 1,000s of kids between the ages of 2 and 6 and enjoys watching the younger ones grasp the concept of soccer through games and songs. She has the ability to introduce the Legends style of play to mini-kickers while making their experience fun and exciting.

Kristin is excited to become a part of the Legends Club and looks forward to building the foundation for great Legends players.

Max attended Paola High School where he was the starting goalkeeper for the Panthers. During high school he was the team captain as a senior and was recommended and made the All League Team for the Tri-state area. Max played club soccer in Shawnee Mission for the Shawnee Mission Elite Soccer club. He currently holds a steady 3.5 GPA at Avila University, where he is attending on a music and soccer scholarship. Max started in goal for Avila as a freshmen and has held that distinction for the past three years. Max continues to be the number one keeper for the Eagles. Currently a Junior at Avila, he loves to help and watch youth players grow as soccer players

Ken Hefner enters his second season at the helm of the Park University women's soccer program.

In his first season at Park, Hefner led the Pirates to their fourth consecutive appearance at the NAIA National Tournament, finishing the year with an 8-9-3 record.

Hefner ranks as one of the winningest coaches in NAIA history, owning a career NAIA women's coaching record of 129-75-9 in one season at Park, seven seasons at Lindsey Wilson College (1993-1999) and three seasons at Tennessee Wesleyan College (1990-93). His NAIA women's victories ranked 11th all-time heading into the 2004 season, while his .637 NAIA womens winning percentage ranked 16th in NAIA history before 2004.

Hefner most recently served as the head women's soccer coach at Arkansas State University for four seasons from 1999-2003. Under his leadership, the Indians posted a four-year record of 19-54-1, including a 7-12 mark in his final season in 2003. Hefner owns an overall women's career coaching record of 148-129-10 (.533) in 15 seasons. Combined with a 29-18-2 record while coaching the men's program at Tennessee Wesleyan from 1990-93, he owns an overall coaching record of 177-147-12 (.545).

While at Lindsey Wilson, Hefner's teams advanced to the national tournament twice (1998, 1999) and achieved a final national ranking of fifth following the 1999 season. In seven seasons at Lindsey Wilson, he posted a 93-46-5 record and had 11 players earn NAIA All-America honors.

In 1999, Hefner was tabbed to lead a start-up soccer program at Arkansas State, which began play in 2000. His teams qualified for the Sun Belt Conference tournament four years in a row under his guidance and had three players named to the all-conference team from 2000-2003.

In addition to Hefner's success on the field, his players have enjoyed success in the classroom. At Lindsey Wilson, he had 18 academic all-conference selections and eight NAIA All-America Scholar-Athletes. During his time at Arkansas State, his team owned an overall GPA of 3.0 or better in six of seven semesters while he was at ASU

Hefner, who owns a United States Soccer Federation National "B" License and an NSCAA National Diploma, earned a bachelor of arts in psychology from West Georgia College in 1987. He and his wife, Dawn, have three children, Matthew (20), Megan (19) and Mackenzie (15).

MJ played for the Kansas City Legends 78/79 team for seven years from 1990-97. He was a Scholarship Player & Captain at State Fair College in Sedalia, Missouri (NJSCAA National Champions 1999). MJ also played NAIA Collegiate soccer at Harris-Stowe College. He has 5 years of youth coaching experience. MJ was drafted professionally by the KC Attack out of College and is now a Regional Championship Director for SuperClubs North America and the National Indoor Championship. MJ is an absolutely wonderful man. His goal is to bring out the best in his players and maximize the potential of each athlete.

Doug has earned his National "D" coaching license. He has 14 years of youth soccer coaching experience. From 1992 - 1997 he was a Head Coach in the Angle Soccer Club; 1997 - 1999 Assistant Coach in the Invasion Soccer Club; 1999 - 2003 Head Coach in the Olathe Spirit (Rush) Soccer Club. Pat is the Vice-President of both the National Indoor Soccer Championship and the SuperClubs National Championship. There is no one better than Pat at working with the 4, 5 and 6 year olds. His fun loving personality and tremendous empathy for children make him the perfect coach for very young players. However, Pat also has a gift for working with older players. In his role as Staff Coordinator for the SuperClubs National teams Pat has the responsibility of Directing a coaching staff that has included NCAA Division I coaches from Yale, Clemson, Memphis, Stetson, Tulsa and numerous other NCAA Division I institutions. Pat arranges and directs these high level coaches and elite youth squads in exhibition matches against the giants of the English Premier League each summer. Past opponents have included youth professional teams from Manchester United, Liverpool, Everton, Leeds, Middlesborough, Charlton, Southampton. This year's tour is scheduled to include Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

Drew Perkins

Drew attended Shawnee Mission Northwest, where he scored 58 career goals and added 33 assists while earning All-Metro, All-Northeast Kansas, All-Conference and All-Sun Country honors in addition to being named the Sunflower Offensive Player of the Year twice, and helping his team win back-to-back state championships. Drew attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he majored in Business and excelled with the varsity soccer team. In three seasons with UMKC, Perkins appeared in 52 matches, scored 21 career goals (which is a school record) and 17 assists for 58 career points, which was good for second-best in UMKC history. He was named to the All Mid-Continent Conference first team twice, the All-Midwest Region Third Team and the College Soccer News Team of the Week (Nov. 16, 2003) during his career at UMKC. Drew was selected by the Comets as a territorial acquisition in the first round (fourth overall) of the 2004 MISL Amateur Draft. In Drew's rookie season he played in 35 of 39 games and had 5 goals and 4 assists.

Mike Stone has helped the MNU Pioneers win 3 championships during the past three years. In that time frame, Mike served as the Boys ODP Director for the state of Kansas. He is the only Kansas Coach to have worked the past 3 years on the Region 2 Boys staff of coaches. Previously, Stone served as an Age Group Director and Tournament Director for the Olathe Soccer Club (now the Kansas Rush) and coached the Kansas Girls 86' and Boys 88' ODP teams.

Prior to coming to Kansas City, Coach Stone was the Head Men's Soccer Coach for the Danville (IL) Area College Jaguars. He guided the start-up program for three years, while teaching business classes and directing the youth soccer organization. Previously, Stone had coached the U19 Girls Greensboro (NC) Twisters and U17 Boys United Quest Red (recently the Atlanta Silverbacks and currently the North Atlanta Soccer Association) to tournament championships. The Twisters won their US Soccer Girls U19 State Championship. Mike started coaching in 1989, where he helped coach the Capital University Men's team to a conference championship.

Coach Stone played at and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He then obtained his M.B.A. from Ohio State University. Stone has obtained 6 National Coaching Certificates including his USSF 'B', USSF National Youth and his NSCAA 'Advanced National'. Mike also runs youth soccer programs for 4,5 & 6 year olds at MNU and is a state level referee. Mike and his wife Debbie have a daughter.

Scott grew up in Olathe, Kansas. Played for Olathe Soccer Club during his youth career. Played for Olathe East High School. Named Gatorade Player of the Year and Male Athlete of the Year for the state of Kansas. He also holds the Single Season Scoring record for both Olathe East and Olathe South. Scott played for the U17 National Team which was the first US team ever to win the CONCACAF Qualifying Tournament in 1992. In 1993, he played in the U17 Youth World Cup in Japan where they finished seventh. Scott played for the current U.S. national team coach Bruce Arena in a very successful UVA Dynasty from 1995-1997. During his tenure at UVA, was ACC Tournament Champions both in 1995 and 1997. Played in two NCAA Final Fours. Earned first team honors All-ACC in 1996 and 1997. Scott was named NSCAA All-American in 1997. Also in 1997, Scott was named to both the NCAA Tournament Team and the ACC Tournament Team. Scott played for the U20 National Team. He played with the Olympic Team in 1996. In 1997, he played in Italy with the World University Team. Scott played with the Mens National Team in 1998 and then joined the Wizards in the MLS. He was one of the first 10 players selected to play and train with Project 40 the MLS feeder program. As part of the Project 40 program, he trained with Sunderland in England for four months. Was a highly-touted defender in the MLS, the Kansas native started 22 games in each of his first two seasons in the league. Scott was then traded to the Colorado Rapids in 1999 and played two years in Denver. In 2001, Scott was traded to DC United where his MLS career was ended prematurely by an injury. He is the current coach of the 1990 ODP boys team and last year was the U10 boys Age Group Director for Olathe Soccer Club.

Head Men's Soccer Coach Kevin Wardlaw took the helm at MidAmerica Nazarene University ( Olathe , KS ) in January of 2003. In his four years at MNU he has led the program to a 55-24-6 (.682) overall record. MNU has won 2 NCCAA National Championships, 3 NCCAA Regional Titles and a share of the Heart of America Conference Championship in 2005. Coach Wardlaw was named the NSCAA/NCCAA National Coach-of-the-Year in 2006 and the HAAC Conference Coach-of-the-Year in 2005.

Previous to MNU Coach Wardlaw was at Hardin Simmons University ( Abilene , TX ) where he was the Men's Soccer coach from 1999-2002. While at HSU he led that program to 3 American Southwest Conference championships and two appearances in the NCAA Div III National Tournament. His record while at HSU was an impressive 51-20-2 (.712).

Coach Wardlaw started his coaching career as an Assistant Coach at Cumberland College ( Williamsburg , KY ). He obtained his Master of Arts Degree in Education while at CC. A graduate of Olivet Nazarene University ( Bourbonnais , IL), Wardlaw was a two sport athlete. He was a two-time CCAC All-Conference Goalkeeper and a 3-time Track and Field All-American. Coach Wardlaw's overall coaching record stands at 106-44-8 (.696) in 8 seasons. He holds a National, Advanced National, and Premier Diploma from the NSCAA.
