KC Legends Covid 19 protocols

 

In the Event of a Positive Test:

 

·         Any instance of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis of a participant or anyone in attendance of a session, will be immediately reported to the county health authority.

·         A Player or Coach who tests positive will be quarantined for a minimum of:

o   10 days following the positive test if symptom free

o   14 days from the onset of initial symptoms

·         Any team/individual/coach directly exposed to a player who tests positive will be held out of practices and games for the following duration:

o   14 days from the initial exposure (if symptom free)

o   10 days from the onset of symptoms or positive test

·         Players or coaches indirectly exposed (twice removed from a positive test) will not be required to quarantine unless they begin exhibiting symptoms.

 

 

Coaches protocols

·         Coaches will get a form of the field/boxes they are assigned.  They will need

to have parents RSVP before practice (TeamSnap is fine).  They will then assign each player a field/box. 

·         Coaches will park in the coach lot/train track side of the building.

·         Coaches should bring their own mask when coming to the facility. 

Do not bring pinnies, cones or other equipment in the building.

·         Coaches enter/exit the building through the coach lot door.

·         Wash hands at washing station when entering.

·         Check in at the desk, pick up at field form and have it filled out with your players

names that are in attendance.  After practice please return form for each practice back to the desk. 

·         Please be near the entrance your players will enter.  We will want your players to be able to see you when they arrive. 

 

Black fields will enter at main entrance to building (near concession stand).

Red fields will enter at garage door in the front of the building (facing 67th street).

Green fields will enter through the garage door at the back entrance.

 

 

·         Floors will be marked for the players to know where they can stand safely. 

·         You and your designated team chaperone will help direct your players to the handwashing station assigned to the field area you are using. 

·         Once players have washed their hands you can send them to their assigned field/box.

·         Water bottles will be set in each players area.

·         Once you have everyone on their space you want to go over rules listed under player protocols.

  • The Coach should make the following inquiries at the beginning of the practice of all players (as a group is acceptable):
    • Is anyone running a temperature?
    • Does anyone have a persistent cough?
    • Does everyone feel well & healthy?

·         Run your practices. Follow planned club curriculum.

·         You will need to watch your time.  Players need to be ready to exit the building at the end of their practice time.  There will be hand sanitizer and washing stations for them to use on their way out of the building.

·         Players will exit the same entrance they came in.  Standing on marked areas for social distancing. 

·         Parents will pull up or walk up to the designated exit and be identified before players are released.

·         There will be cleaner on each field with gloves.  Each coach will be responsible for wiping down all the door handles (inside and out) of field and boxes.

·         Coaches will have limited time before the next team arrives. Please wipe down quickly.  If you have more than one practice move to the door and prepare for you next team to arrive. 

·         Please turn in your practice sheets at the desk when you are finished.  Then exit the facility through the coach parking lot exit.

·         Last practices of the evening will be responsible for getting their kids outside to their parents picking up.  Closing/locking doors.  Turning lights off and exiting the building.

·         Restroom breaks-coaches need to keep track of any player who has gone to the restroom to make sure they wash hands before returning.

·         Balls left after players leave will be placed in a bag and parents will have to make an appointment to retrieve them.  Please remind your players to get their balls and water bottles when they leave.

 

 

Player protocols

  • The parent/guardian should check the temperature of the players at home before attending practice. Players should not attend practice with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater, persistent cough, or other indications of not being well and healthy.

·         Players can wear masks, but it is not a requirement. 

·         Other than one designated team chaperone, parents will not be allowed in the building during practices at this time.

  • Players should leave the car ready to play (wearing shoes/cleats, shin guards, etc.) to avoid having unnecessary personal belongings on the field.  Please only bring your ball and a water bottle with you into the facility.

·         Teams will be assigned a field area.  Each area has its own drop off spot.

·         Please make sure you review the map to know where you will be dropping your player off.  You will need to pick them up at the same place.

·         Chaperones should be present at the drop off/pick locations to make sure all players are safely entering and exiting the facility. 

·         Players will enter the building and will be directed to the handwashing station for their area. After washing their hands their coach will send them to their assigned spot.

·         Once practices are finished kids will be dismissed one at a time and use the hand sanitizer as they leave the building. There will be marked areas for players to wait on until their ride pulls up to the pick-up area.

·         Restroom breaks-Players will need to tell coach if they need to leave the field to use the restroom.  They will need to go directly to the restroom and back to the field. Following all social distancing spacing and handwashing.   

·         Balls left after players leave will be placed in a bag and parents will have to make an appointment to retrieve them.  Please remind your players to get their balls and water bottles when they leave.

 

 

Club protocols

·         Training start and end times will be staggered.

·         The parent/guardian should check the temperature of the players at home before attending practice. Players should not attend practice with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater, persistent cough, or other indications of not being well and healthy.

·         Players and parents will be monitored as they arrive and depart.

·         Carpooling should be avoided.

·         Parents are not allowed in the building at this time.  Please make sure your coach has a phone number to contact you in case of emergency. 

·         Players should leave the car ready to play (wearing shoes/cleats, shin guards, etc.) to avoid having unnecessary personal belongings on the field.  We are asking players to only bring their ball and water bottle inside with them.

·         The Coach should make the following inquiries at the beginning of the practice of all players regarding their health.  Asking about running a temperature, or having a persistent cough or overall not feeling well.  The importance of answering questions seriously is very important.  Players need to know this is nothing to joke about. 

·         Players should maintain social distancing during coaching conversation and should be encouraged to leave the training area promptly after sessions.

·         All physical contact between players will be monitored and strongly discouraged including high fives and other previously encouraged behaviors.

·         Players will be monitored closely at all times, arrival through departure.

·         Please do not treat spreading the virus as a joke-parents need to be a part of enforcing this.

·         Anyone displaying symptoms associated with COVID-19 should not attend and

should notify their coach.  

·         Coaches will have hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes available.

·         Coaches will wear face masks. Players wearing a mask are at parent discretion.

·         Players must not share pinnies or any other equipment.
