Kansas City Legends Announces Jose Ramos as College Recruiting Coordinator

MERRIAM, Kan. — Kansas City Legends Soccer Club is proud to announce the appointment of Jose Ramos as the club's new College Recruiting Coordinator, further strengthening the club's commitment to helping student-athletes achieve their goals of playing collegiate soccer.
Ramos will oversee the club's college recruiting program, providing guidance and support to players and families throughout the recruiting process. His responsibilities include developing individualized recruiting plans, conducting recruiting meetings, organizing educational workshops, coordinating communication with college coaches, assisting with highlight videos and player profiles, and creating opportunities for Legends players to gain exposure at the collegiate level.
A native of Santa Isabel, Brazil, Ramos brings an exceptional combination of playing and coaching experience to the position. His collegiate career spanned every level of NCAA and NAIA soccer, competing at The University at Albany (NCAA Division I), Notre Dame College (NCAA Division II), and MidAmerica Nazarene University (NAIA), where he earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
Following his collegiate career, Ramos played professionally for the Kansas City Comets of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), earning All-Rookie Team honors before transitioning into coaching. Today, he serves as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at MidAmerica Nazarene University, where he continues to mentor and recruit student-athletes at the collegiate level.

Ramos' firsthand experience as both a collegiate recruiter and former student-athlete allows him to provide practical, personalized guidance to families throughout the recruiting process. His passion is helping players identify colleges that provide the right academic, athletic, financial, and personal fit while educating families on the ever-changing landscape of college athletics.
"I'm excited to join Kansas City Legends in this role and help our players pursue their dreams of competing at the collegiate level," said Ramos. "Every player's journey is unique, and I'm looking forward to working closely with our families to ensure they have the knowledge, resources, and support needed to find the best college fit. My goal is to make the recruiting process less overwhelming and more rewarding for every Legends player."
Ramos holds a USSF "B" Coaching License and resides in Mission, Kansas, with his wife, Megan.
